-This week is the final week for the 2012 Brooklyn Bridge CSA regular season. We want to thank you all for your membership and participation this year! This week at distribution, please make sure to sign the Thank You Card we are going to send him and the farm!
-Pick up this week is for all veggie share members: Full, A and B week shares. Full shares will pick up as usual, and half shares will pick up according to the A/B listing at distribution. There will also be Egg shares and Milk Not Jails, but no Fruit share this week. Last week was the last Fruit pickup. Distribution will be on Wed from 5-8pm at Congregation Mt Sinai.

Full Shares: 1 bunch Italian Parsley, 1 bunch Red Boston Lettuce, 1 bunch Red Radishes, 1 head Broccoli, 1 head Bok Choy, 1 bunch Scallions, 1 piece Garlic, 1 Butternut Squash, 1 Delicata Squash, 1 piece Fresh Ginger*
*A special item to the CSA members this (last) week of the season, is Fresh Ginger root. We grew the bulb stock in one of our green houses this summer and fall (it took the whole season to get to this point), so we’re planning on have some for every CSA member tomorrow.
You can use both the green leaf portions in addition to the root/bulb section in soups, stirfrys, tea infusions, etc., the list is almost endless.
